Outside Sales – Odessa, Texas

AGI Industries is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to increase clientele in the Permian Basin territory. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads. They will also monitor oil and gas trends in order to develop plans to expand revenue. We prefer candidates to have a background in rotating equipment sales. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and potential clients in various markets through:
    • Appointments,
    • Presentations,
    • Trade show attendance,
    • Industry functions,
    • Cold calling,
    • Answering inquiries,
    • Processing orders,
    • Resolving issues, etc.
  • Conduct marketing research on competitive products and services in assigned geographical area.
  • Facilitate monthly product presentations.
  • Follow up on quotes for applications, repairs, and finished goods.
  • Pick-up and deliver repaired and finished goods.
  • Entertain clients within the course and scope of AGI Industries’ Policy Guidelines.

  • Regularly update and maintain CRM database (including sales call reports)
  • Maintain vendor relationships by communicating with vendor representatives on a regular basis and participating in joint sales calls as necessary.
  • Establish and communicate pricing for customers for various products, projects and services while working with branch personnel to mainstream pricing levels, expectations, etc.
  • Provide management with input regarding inventory levels, repair equipment, and training.
  • Relay customer vision and expectations to AGI Industries personnel.
  • Attend sales meetings as necessary while providing updates on current and prospective clients.
  • Quarterly review of commission statements (sales history reports) for accuracy.
  • Timely completion and submission of expense reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Draftsman - Lafayette, Louisiana

AGI Packaged Pump Systems is seeking an experienced Draftsman who will be responsible for producing construction drawings for the fabrication shop and clients. Candidates must possess the ability to understand P&ID’s and fabrication shop drawings, as well as have good mechanical aptitude, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor. If you are an experienced draftsman and a desire to expand your career, we want to hear from you.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Attend the initial design meeting for each project with appropriate personnel.
    • Obtain information such as bill of materials (BOM), cut sheets, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), pipe and fitting specifications WP release form and conceptual drawing to be converted into a model/drawing.
    • Discuss design against P&IDs and conceptual drawings.
  • Create 3D Model by drawing parts from BOM/cut sheets while following P&IDs, conceptual and piping and fitting specifications.
  • Attend review meeting with appropriate personnel to review the model against conceptual, P&IDs, and quoted hours, and adjusting as necessary.
  • Create 2D drawings from 3D Model by creating a plan and elevation drawing, skid drawing (structural), tank drawing, and isometric drawing and completing the BOM.
  • Coordinate with the Drafting Manager when drawings are ready to be reviewed.
  • Attend review meeting with the appropriate personnel to review final drawings and compare quoted hours while making necessary corrections based on input received.
  • Receive client markups and meet with the appropriate personnel to review and make appropriate corrections, resubmitting as necessary, and issuing drawings and BOM to fabrication shop and Shipping and Receiving Manager.
  • Assist fabrication shop with questions or issues on drawings.
  • Create As Built drawings from actual completed package.
  • Measure customer tie ins.
  • Adjust drawings according to changes, create pdf and send to PM for submission as needed.

Applications Engineer / Seal Specialist – Baton Rouge, LA

AGI Industries is seeking an Applications Engineer specializing in mechanical seals. This is a full-time position with a growing company engaged in the oil and gas industry as well as may other industrial and process industries. Responsible for cultivating relationships with a wide range of industry markets and customers in the territory to secure AGI Industries’ position as their main mechanical seal and equipment supplier.     • Effectively support and develop recommendations and quotes, and
    • Maintain and keep updated our vendor portal including seal report generation.
  • Assist in maintaining company seal inventory levels per vendor’s distribution inventory program.
  • Remain current with mechanical seal product training.
  • Identify mechanical seal, pump, and pump service and repair growth markets in the assigned geography, working with key vendor for inroads into those markets.
  • Create and preform face to face meetings and presentations with current and potential customers (maintenance, production, management, engineers, planners, specifiers, etc.).
  • Perform all reasonable tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or company management.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills for quote, presentation, and document development.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years industry experience with mechanical seals, centrifugal pumps and fluid dynamics.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Field / Shop Service Pump Technician - Shreveport, LA & Sulphur, LA

AGI Industries is seeking three Field / Shop Service Pump Technicians. These are full-time positions with a growing company engaged in oil and gas as well as may other industrial and process industries. This position is responsible for repairing and servicing pumps and machinery in our local shops as well as in the field. A background in API 310, 682, 686 and rotating and alignment equipment is preferred. Three plus years mechanical experience or in a Level C Technician position with knowledge of API 310, 682, 686, and rotating and alignment equipment, high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license are required.   • Must be able to disassemble, evaluate, reassemble, and test a pump including:
    • Identify pump’s make, model, & serial number,
    • Disassemble/Reassemble, clean, and inspect parts for wear or damage per provided guidelines both in the shop and in the field,
    • Determine course of action based on precision measurements (i.e. micrometers/indicators),
    • Perform dimensional checks using micrometers, as well as laser alignments and save readings on laser tool as needed,
    • Write a complete and thorough parts list when disassembling a pump to assist in the pricing and quoting of the repair.
    • Ensure all parts are correct,
    • Properly utilize appropriate tools required for the job,
    • Accurately read and follow technical drawings/reference and/or OEM guidelines, and
    • Check fluid, alignment, motor rotation, perform pump start up and conduct QA and/or performance test(s) as required on repaired pumps as applicable.
  • Must be able to perform the following duties:
    • Operate forklift and conduct inspection,
    • Shop/Company vehicle inspection,
    • PPE inspection for proper and safe operating status, and
    • Disassemble and reassemble equipment and shop tools.
  • Work closely with customers on:
    • Following customer safety protocol when in the field,
    • Communicate with customers to determine course and plan of action, and
    • Assist customer with startup and commissioning of pump.
  • Perform all reasonable tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or company management.
