Outside Sales Representative - Odessa, Tx

AGI Industries is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to increase clientele in the Permian Basin territory. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads. They will also monitor oil and gas trends in order to develop plans to expand revenue.  We prefer candidates to have a background in rotating equipment sales. If you have prior experience in outside sales and a desire to expand your career, we want to hear from you.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and potential clients in various markets through:
    • Appointments,
    • Presentations,
    • Trade show attendance,
    • Industry functions,
    • Cold calling,
    • Answering inquiries,
    • Processing orders,
    • Resolving issues, etc.
  • Conduct marketing research on competitive products and services in assigned geographical area.
  • Facilitate monthly product presentations.
  • Follow up on quotes for applications, repairs, and finished goods.
  • Pick-up and deliver repaired and finished goods.
  • Entertain clients within the course and scope of AGI Industries’ Policy Guidelines.
  • Timely assist customers with problem solving, productapplication, budget estimates, project scope, data, technical information, etc.

  • Establish and communicate pricing for customers for various products, projects and services while working with branch personnel to mainstream pricing levels, expectations, etc.
  • Provide management with input regarding inventory levels, repair equipment, and training.
  • Relay customer vision and expectations to AGI Industries personnel.
  • Attend sales meetings as necessary while providing updates on current and prospective clients.
  • Quarterly review of commission statements (sales history reports) for accuracy.
  • Timely completion and submission of expense reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the distribution group as well as the location’s outside sales team to maintain and develop the existing customer base, maintain/exceed monthly sales quotas, and providing exceptional customer satisfaction.   • Present price, credit, and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles.
  • Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns.
  • Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any issues.
  • Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery.
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
  • Setup and maintain customer files.
  • Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts.
  • Review updates / new delivery data of material & deliveries as well as prepare and/or expedite and monitor forwarding functions for problems involved with deliveries.
  • Assist in expediting the Shipping & Receiving process by working with the appropriate personnel and completing the necessary documentation.
  • Pack, seal, label and/or palletize materials for shipping.

Rotating Equipment/Pump Technician - Odessa, TX

AGI Industries is seeking three Field / Shop Service Pump Technicians. These are full-time positions with a growing company engaged in oil and gas as well as may other industrial and process industries. This position is responsible for repairing and servicing pumps and machinery in our local shops as well as in the field. A background in API 610, 682, 686 and rotating and alignment equipment is preferred. Three plus years mechanical experience or in a Level C Technician position with knowledge of API 610, 682, 686, and rotating and alignment equipment, high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license are required.

Essential Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Must be a self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight maintaining a high level of activity by:
    • Follow company/customer safety protocol,
    • Manage time well,
    • Effective communicate verbally and in writing,
    • Manage clean and safe work environment,
    • Ability to read, write and understand basic technical drawings and diagrams,
    • Good mathematical skills,
    • Highly detail oriented, and
    • Collaborate and work efficiently as part of a team.
  • Must be able to disassemble, evaluate, reassemble, and test a pump including:
    • Identify pump’s make, model, & serial number,
    • Disassemble/Reassemble, clean, and inspect parts for wear or damage per provided guidelines both in the shop and in the field,
    • Determine course of action based on precision measurements (i.e. micrometers/indicators)
    • Perform dimensional checks using micrometers, as well as laser alignments and save readings on laser tool as needed,
    • Write a complete and thorough parts list when disassembling a pump to assist in the pricing and quoting of the repair.
    • Ensure all parts are correct,
    • Properly utilize appropriate tools required for the job,
    • Accurately read and follow technical drawings/reference and/or OEM guidelines, and
    • Check fluid, alignment, motor rotation, perform pump start up and conduct QA and/or performance test(s) as required on repaired pumps as applicable.
  • Must be able to perform the following duties:
    • Operate forklift and conduct inspection,
    • Shop/Company vehicle inspection,
    • PPE inspection for proper and safe operating status, and
    • Disassemble and reassemble equipment and shop tools.
  • Work closely with customers on:
    • Following customer safety protocol when in the field,
    • Communicate with customers to determine course and plan of action, and
    • Assist customer with startup and commissioning of pump.
  • Perform all reasonable tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or company management.
