Outside Sales Representative - Odessa, Tx

AGI Industries is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to increase clientele in the Permian Basin territory. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads. They will also monitor oil and gas trends in order to develop plans to expand revenue.  We prefer candidates to have a background in rotating equipment sales. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and potential clients in various markets through:
    • Appointments,
    • Presentations,
    • Trade show attendance,
    • Industry functions,
    • Cold calling,
    • Answering inquiries,
    • Processing orders,
    • Resolving issues, etc.
  • Conduct marketing research on competitive products and services in assigned geographical area.
  • Facilitate monthly product presentations.
  • Follow up on quotes for applications, repairs, and finished goods.
  • Pick-up and deliver repaired and finished goods.
  • Entertain clients within the course and scope of AGI Industries’ Policy Guidelines.
  • Timely assist customers with problem solving, productapplication, budget estimates, project scope, data, technical information, etc.
  • Stay up to date on product lines by attending vendor webinars, onsite/factory training classes, reading product literature, industry news, etc.
  • Regularly update and maintain CRM database (including sales call reports)
  • Maintain vendor relationships by communicating with vendor representatives on a regular basis and participating in joint sales calls as necessary.
  • Establish and communicate pricing for customers for various products, projects and services while working with branch personnel to mainstream pricing levels, expectations, etc.
  • Provide management with input regarding inventory levels, repair equipment, and training.
  • Relay customer vision and expectations to AGI Industries personnel.
  • Attend sales meetings as necessary while providing updates on current and prospective clients.
  • Quarterly review of commission statements (sales history reports) for accuracy.
  • Timely completion and submission of expense reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Rotating Equipment/Pump Technician - Houston, TX

AGI Industries is seeking a Field / Shop Service Pump Technicians. This is a full-time position with a growing company engaged in oil and gas as well as may other industrial and process industries. This position is responsible for repairing and servicing pumps and machinery in our local shops as well as in the field. A background in API 610, 682, 686 and rotating and alignment equipment is preferred. Three plus years mechanical experience or in a Level C Technician position with knowledge of API 610, 682, 686, and rotating and alignment equipment, high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license are required.

Essential Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Must be a self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight maintaining a high level of activity by:
    • Follow company/customer safety protocol,
    • Manage time well,
    • Effective communicate verbally and in writing,
    • Manage clean and safe work environment,
    • Ability to read, write and understand basic technical drawings and diagrams,
    • Good mathematical skills,
    • Highly detail oriented, and
    • Collaborate and work efficiently as part of a team.
  • Must be able to disassemble, evaluate, reassemble, and test a pump including:
    • Identify pump’s make, model, & serial number,
    • Disassemble/Reassemble, clean, and inspect parts for wear or damage per provided guidelines both in the shop and in the field,
    • Determine course of action based on precision measurements (i.e. micrometers/indicators)
    • Perform dimensional checks using micrometers, as well as laser alignments and save readings on laser tool as needed,
    • Write a complete and thorough parts list when disassembling a pump to assist in the pricing and quoting of the repair.
    • Ensure all parts are correct,
    • Properly utilize appropriate tools required for the job,
    • Accurately read and follow technical drawings/reference and/or OEM guidelines, and
    • Check fluid, alignment, motor rotation, perform pump start up and conduct QA and/or performance test(s) as required on repaired pumps as applicable.
  • Must be able to perform the following duties:
    • Operate forklift and conduct inspection,
    • Shop/Company vehicle inspection,
    • PPE inspection for proper and safe operating status, and
    • Disassemble and reassemble equipment and shop tools.
  • Work closely with customers on:
    • Following customer safety protocol when in the field,
    • Communicate with customers to determine course and plan of action, and
    • Assist customer with startup and commissioning of pump.
  • Perform all reasonable tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or company management.
Service Manager - Houston, TX

AGI Industries is seeking a Service Manager for our Houston office. This person will be responsible for supervising, scheduling, and managing the workforce, facility, customer communications, tools, equipment, supplies, QA/QC program, etc. for the repair shop while ensuring quality repairs and field service needs meet the customers’ expectations and are in accordance with industry standards and AGI Industries guidelines.

  • Enforce/implement policies and procedures to continuously improve service quality, capabilities, safety, facility equipment, tooling, efficiency, and serviceman training.
  • Direct and supervise employees within the department by ensuring responsibilities are completed appropriately while delegating responsibilities as necessary.
  • Ensure adequate staffing of the department while addressing employee relations issues as appropriate.
  • Supervise and train employees regarding associated job responsibilities and Company policies/procedures.
  • Prepare and assist Project Managers with the preparation of quotes (if applicable).
  • Determine scope of quotation by reviewing specifications, data sheets, customer supplied information, etc. and interact with the customer or salesman as necessary.
  • Utilize vendor supplied software and literature for pump selection and application.
  • Generate a Price Makeup and prepare quotation using templates from Company controlled data files.
  • Determine pricing and lead time for components, labor, drafting, shipping costs, etc. along with applying proper markup through consultation with salesmen.
  • Send quotation to customer and all involved parties including salesman and department managers.
  • Pre-Qualify repair associated vendors that provide services and materials to ensure compliance of Company requirements.
  • Ship and authorize invoices for projects/jobs after conducting final inspections, Piping, and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) walk downs, and determining shipping needs.
  • Manage sub-contractors to ensure consistency with Company performance, quality, and safety standards, including machine shops, coaters, and logistics.
  • Regularly communicate with customers regarding condition reports, prioritization, authorized overtime based on guidelines issued by the General Manager, issues/concerns, scheduling of service calls, and technical recommendations.
  • Oversee the repair shop quoting process by reviewing quotes for Repair and Service, managing value through competitive vendor quotes, and ensuring quoted prices and delivery are accurate and competitive.
  • Maintain and monitor the facility.
  • Observe operations and mechanic techniques to ensure consistency with Company standards and safe practices
  • Assist with various issues associated with specific repairs and/or Company processes.
  • Inspect job files along with repairs for accuracy.
  • Maintain production reports and job files while prioritizing jobs, managing, and scheduling work, and ensuring availability of needed data for Service Tech’s.
  • Quarterly evaluations of the performance according to analytics provided by Service and Repair Operations Manager of the repair facility based on profitability, billable hours, warranty, accuracy of targeted margined, establishment and meeting of new goals, and potential improvements to the facility or procedures.
  • Travel with sales personnel to address specific problems for customers.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with QA/QC standards as assigned by the QA/QC Manager while performing various QA/QC checks to ensure protocol and guideline compliance.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with the safety program as assigned by the Safety Coordinator.
  • Track asset repairs and maintenance needed in the repair shop, including service trucks, forklifts, welding machines, bead blaster, tools, equipment, and compressors.
  • Oversee the repair of equipment by means of machining, metalizing, welding, and re-grouting.
  • Assist and train on the design, operation, installation, refurbishment, and machining of rotating, reciprocating, and articulating equipment along with their respective mounting foundations.
  • Manage shop costs, including value and cost of supplies, waste, etc.
  • Manage and report hours worked for payroll and billable hours for job files.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
